Older people in particular individuals that are within their 30′s and older acquire some very good lines under the eyes, forehead or all over their mouth and these folds are referred to as wrinkles. Wrinkles can appear on all parts of our body where the exposure is greatest. It can be in the face, back, neck, hands, and the forearms. Wrinkles have two types. These are fine lines and deep furrows. A number of factors can cause wrinkles.

3. Cigarette Smoking – Smoking hastens the ageing process. The large amount of free radicals produced by cigarette smoke is one of the biggest culprits for premature wrinkles. Free radicals can play havoc with the skin, damaging it to an alarming extent.

4. Air Pollution – Environmental factors such as exposure to air pollutants, dust, chemicals and harsh lights can cause wrinkles on skin over a period of time.

5. Drug use-Taking drugs can be dangerous not only because of the physical impact they can have on your body, but they can also limit your ability to set limits, be aware of your environment, and realize when you are in danger.
6. Excessive physical and Emotional Stress-Stress, by and large, involves too much: too many pressures that demand too much of you physically and psychologically. Stressed people can still imagine, though, that if they can just get everything under control, they’ll feel better.

7. Weight Loss – Rapid weight loss can cause wrinkles as the volume of the fat cells (which have a cushioning effect) are drastically reduced. This causes the skin to sag and crease.

8. Vitamin E deficiency – Depletion of this important vitamin can cause the skin quality to deteriorate.

9. Heredity – You may have inherited some skin characteristics from your parents.

10. Using too much of make up- Avoid the use of strong, chemical based products on your skin.Do not overuse skin care products. Excessive and harsh application, both are harmful.
11. Dehydration-is a condition that occurs when the loss of body fluids, mostly water, exceeds the amount that is taken in. With dehydration, more water is moving out of our cells and then out of our bodies than the amount of water we take in through drinking.
We lose water every day in the form of water vapor in the breath we exhale and as water in our sweat, urine, and stool. Along with the water, small amounts of salts are also lost.
12. Facial expressions- such as smile and frown lines can become permanent as the skin loses its elasticity and contribute to the formation of jowls and drooping eyelids.Repeated motions such as squinting can cause wrinkles around the eyes. These are referred to as “crow’s feet”.
